Mason Mount still wants to leave Chelsea and won’t sign a new contract with the team.
To break the deadlock between the two clubs over Mason Mount, Chelsea is ready to meet with Manchester United the next week.
This comes after United made a third offer for the excellent midfielder, who has reluctant to commit his future to Stamford Bridge, and the Blues once more rejected it.
Another offer of £55 million, reportedly made by United, was reportedly rejected by their Premier League rivals.
The Red Devils are now prepared to end negotiations because they are dissatisfied with how the agreement is progressing in light of this most recent rejection.
United believe Chelsea’s asking price of £58 million plus a further £7 million in potential add-ons is “too expensive” for a midfielder whose contract expires in a year, according to a BBC report.
Chelsea rejected their original offers of £40 million and £50 million as well.
Next week, Chelsea and United might clash.
Fabrizio Romano, a football transfer analyst, gave an update on the Mount problem, saying that Chelsea were open to meeting with United’s representatives next week to resolve the Mount issue.
Because Mount is rumored to desire to leave the Blues and join Old Trafford, Chelsea are still holding out hope that United will relent in their pursuit of signing the midfielder
If Mauricio Pochettino’s team is unable to reach a deal before the summer transfer window closes, they run the risk of losing the player for significantly less, and potentially even for nothing.
Understand Man United hasn’t given up on Mason Mount discussions because their £55 million offer is still valid. but rejecting Chelsea’s counteroffer of £65 million.
Door is still open, but Manchester United won’t wait indefinitely since they think a fair offer of £55m is acceptable.
